It’s actually “thé,” not “the.” Thé is the french word for tea. Thé vert = green tea. Thé is pronounced more like “tay” (or “teh”). I know it’s small thing, but I thought I’d point it out since it’s a French word that’s actually easy for English speakers to pronounce. And it’s the main note of the fragrance, of course!
I picked up a Scentbird of this one awhile back, and it is so absolutely gorgeous! I really want to try Bulgari’s other “thé” fragrances now.
I love this one and au the rouge! Au the noir is also really good. Jean claude Elena does amazing things.
What a coincidence , I’m wearing this fragrance today.
Au the vert is one of my faves too. Have you tried the shower gel? Worth seeking out.
Truly a classic, from a great master. Quintessential Ellena. It’s really the only “light” scent I wear regularly; it’s magnificent in the Southern humidity, as you obviously know! I have heard that it started off as an ambient scent for Bvlgari stores, and people liked it so much, they made it into their first perfume. (Not sure if this is true!)
I couldn’t agree more on the amazing scent of this parfumeé… Just recently started wearing this and I fell in love with this one as much as I love my Hermes Rose Ikebana…they are both light and easy on the nose. Love all you parfum vids. Thanks!
Are you on fragrantica??
Not all but most tea fragrances don’t do well with my skin….unfortunately.SOTD Wild Fruits by Mancera
Thank you for reviewing this, you’re my fave. I have a bottle of this on the way. Jean Claude Elena is a genius!
Oh yes, this was for years my summer scent… And then I overworn it too… And now I want it back. Need to find a good deal
Aww, snap! I went to culinary school but almost went to art school…now I’m on the 15 year plan to finish a degree in finance, lol! Back in the day I wore EA green tea too.
