Interesting, you’ve compared Chergui to Shalimar: it may explain why I love both of them 😉 personally, I love also Ambre Sultan.

50ml for $200, do you think the quality justifies the price?

How does Forreau Noir compare to Dior’s Eau Noire ( which is also a lavender and tonka bean focused fragrance) and Caron Pour Homme which is the gold standard of what lavender is supposed to smell like? Great video.

Excellent summary of your Serge Lutens Exploration. I’m not sure what my Top 5 fragrances are from this house (it will give me something to contemplate) but I do know that Chergui is my #1. To me, it stands head-and-shoulders ahead of the one I have tried, which is no where near the number you’ve experienced.

Vetiver Oriental sounds like the most interesting fragrance from the house that I would like to try next.  However, $200 for 50ml is quite expensive…and I doubt this Limited Edition will be available for long or at the discount houses.

Anyway, I enjoyed the entire series…well-done!
