Tom Ford Ombré Leather 18

repackaged from its Private Blend days, Ombré Leather (18) seems to smell just like Ombre Leather 16 and not much different than Tuscan Leather–50239.html

5:50 “I knda go nuts . . . this doesn’t last on my skin” Whoever tells you this needs to start learning about fragrances all over again. This is TF Ombre Leather *EDP*. It is made to last +6 hours due to its higher concentration dosage. I sprayed a sample of this at 4 PM and the dry-down lingers subtly after 11 PM. It is pleasant and my co-workers pick up on the scent as I walk past them. I am a Dishie at a fine dining restaurant and love to wear men fragrance because at end of shift I smell like garbage and perfume helps me not smell all that dirty water smell. Any who, I am planning on buying myself a bottle before New Years!

I love the leather and spices of flowers. I will give an update soon.

Nice review

M. S. BitEth says:

Thank you for this assessment. I own 90 percent of the TF private line and appreciate your honest opinion. Others are saying the same thing about this new reform. Certainly I will listen to a few of you before adding this one. Thank you. FYI I got Corilon due to your comments and its very manly, and the bottle is awesome, huh?

Eugen…Tom Ford?! Nahhh…try Mancera…if you can say a few good words for Tom Ford you will love Mancera 😉 Tom Ford is trash..sorry! The only bottle of Tom Ford I have is Neroli Portofino…I also use the shower gel but for the price I can purchase 30 bottles of 4711…and get the same longevity! I have tried a lot of Tom Ford private fragrances but all have been a big disappointment…the brand is for people with a lot of money and no fashion or fragrance class!

I feel this and TL smells quite different to me. TL really feels dry and less day-scenty compared to this one. OL seems a bit more wearability but TL has a more “wow” factor. Definitely like this one though. Will pick it up!

sorryremix says:

My nose detect a bit higher dosage of jasmine sambac & it gives it just a bit softer smell the Tuscan leather but definitely very close . Nice take Eugene !

david woollam says:

interesting review thanks. not a big fan of many Tom Ford fragrances

Bruton Gaster says:

I also am a big fan of this style of scent. I even enjoy some of those “knockoffs” or “inspired by” scents, such as Godolphin or Golden Boy to name a couple and I enjoy the minor “tweaks” they add to this style. Although a full bottle of all of them isn’t necessary for me the OL’16, TL, ADP Leather and now this one are ones that I love enough that a full bottle will have a permanent spot in my collection.

Eugene T says:

I have both, the original Tuscan Leather and now the Ombre Leather. To me Ombre IS a lighter version of TL. I also used to buy Tuscan Leather body spray – great stuff which is no longer available at either Holts or Saks in Toronto. It only cost $87 for 150 ml. Now that it’s gone, I think maybe Ford decided to bottle this body spray as Ombre Leather? The body spray could last all day on me, it was very strong, similar to Tuscan Leather eau de parfum. I also purchased a bottle of Fougere d’Argent today, loving it! Will see how it works…

Sr Fragancia says:

Thanks for the review man. I will try to get this one. Cheers!

Jeremy Hinze says:

Ughh couldn’t agree more, especially with morons blathering on endlessly about aventus batch variations if you think there is that much difference and feel the need to buy several bottles well your sick in the head, its the only fragrance with this hysteria surrounding it, its complete bullshit.

Even though I can tell them apart, OL 16 does smell like TL, somehow, and you are correct to say it is just as potent. I own Jo Malone’s 154 cologne, however, and it’s so close to OL 16, I can’t differentiate between them. AdP’s Colonia Leather is beautiful, it makes complete sense to have it along with TL in your leather collection, they don’t smell like the same type of leather to my nose. Keep the content coming and change for no one!!!

Saw this at the mall today but did not try it. I did go on a Guerlain sniffing fest at Saks and NM though, and I have to admit I am really loving their stuff (more of the masculine scents personally) lately and can’t get enough. A lot more now than I used to. So good. And the quality is amazing. As far as Songe goes, tried that today and it totally smells like a vagina wrapped in leather mixed with a sweaty under arm. That is one naughty scent. Keep the vids coming.

Herman Muker says:

La Yuqawam is very nice. Lasts longer than Tuscan Leather. And oh yeah….. Make More Videos brother. There are a whole lot of people that love honesty.

Fragrance Review says:

Interesting, I don’t get much fruit from this one, if at all. Tuscan Leather is a sharper, more piercing scent to my nose. This comes across as a more rounded, smoother version. I imagine a nice suede or soft black leather jacket. Lasted like crazy on me too. Good stuff! Need to pick one up.

Bruton Gaster says:

This scent to me evokes an image and it’s the image of black leather gloves/jacket lined with plush purple/blue velvet on the inside.

Bruton Gaster says:

My package arrived today, I literally just sprayed it right before I seen this video pop up. I can only talk about the opening but after a few minutes it’s smelling very close to OL’16. I’ll have to spend at least a month or two with it to get a real feel for this and I won’t be able to do that til it starts cooling down a bit cause this is no hot weather scent. I’m LOVING this so far… just like the ‘16 iteration

Visqo Gomez says:

Very good review

Enrique Vasquez says:

I am interested in this one. Is this one more versatile than TL. Some reviewers are saying that it does not last. I need to sample OL to see how it develops on my skin.

Jonathan Zambrano says:

Great video Eugene, it’s ok. Nothing too special to me but then again I haven’t picked up a bottle to really get to know it.

Jozef Chudy says:

TF scents are quite overpriced IMO, lacking longevity on my skin. I prefer Swiss Arabian Attar al Ghutra instead of Tuscan Leather or Yuqawam by Rasasi. It lasts almost all day, scent changes a lot and the price is great also.

Samuel B. says:

For me, I think acqua di parma leather is much more better than Tuscan leather. It’s not a knock off or inspiration at all. I own them both and I feel Tuscan leather is like an unfinished fragrance when I compare them. The only notes they share are leather and woody notes. Acqua di parma leather It’s one of fragrance that’s screams elegance very loud and very versatile.

Eddie says:

So basically, what you are saying is, this is redundant if you own TL.

Neal Francis says:

Is it private blends price ? Or signature line price

rasputin7095 says:

I don’t often disagree with you, but Ombre Leather smells nothing like Tuscan Leather to me. OL is an authentic, quality leather scent. TL on the other hand smells like ashtray, raspberry, “powder” to me, and not much like actual leather. This also lasted about 4 hours on my skin, and TL lasts for days. OL for me is similar to things like Dark Rebel Rider and Gucci Guilty Absolute, but smoother and without some of the “turn offs” those others have like the bandaids or hospital smell people pick up on. OL is a great authentic leather smell, while TL is more of an abstract work of art.

Alex Chu says:

They got this in Toronto?
